I'm in complete agreement actually. I lost my job a few months ago do to the economy sucking where i live. They told me they would try and hire me back on (it's a factory where i'm trained to run a variety of machines). I called them a few times, but they said they simply can't take anyone on yet, they are still downsizing. Again, i heard of a girl getting hired on there as part of the office staff. The office staff at this place is beyond expendable... They mostly just sit around drinking coffee. In fact, most orders and dealing with customers was usually done by floor supervisors (my bosses, co-workers). If they can't squeeze an experienced worker like me in, how can they add yet another useless office worker?

Getting back on track, since then I've taken a program which apparently "increases my employability" I applied for tons of jobs, most don't call or email me back, some are "out of applications" just like you said... It's totally fucked. I think affirmative action should now be geared towards white twenty-something males. Just like OP said, every store i go into has only women working. The local liquor store has 1 male manager, and 4-6 women/girls as staff. I asked if they were hiring, and they "suggested" i try the warehouse, for a job moving around pallets of beer with a forklift (incidentally they aren't hiring) yet... I notice a girl who looks barely old enough to even drink just got hired at the same store (3 days ago). WTF.

A major issue is that male managers and owners will often hire a harem for jobs close to them, rather than an actual work force.

Another major issue is men prefer to be waited on by women, which is why you'll see girls out front, men in the kitchen.

It's a shitty problem and while it's true that plenty of workplaces are dominated by women who don't want to let scary penises into the office, the biggest problem is men screwing ourselves over.

Women are thought to be less likely to steal, spit in your food, and so on. It's just not true. Female employees are just as good at being passive-aggressive... but God help you if you dare say it in mixed company.

Maybe I'm oversimplifying it. But if you worked as a manager at some bs liquor store who do you wanna be hanging out with all day. Any guy, or 3+ hotties with great cleavage and a below average intelligence. Think about it. The girls are gonna bring in more customers, defuse problems with most (male) customers , and require less pay. Plus at the very least you can look at them all day.

Always remember that this isn't holding men back. You have to be kidding me with that. What this is is a saturation of entry level jobs. The real bread winners a still always men. Go look any company. ANY. Seriously, I mean any. And look at its top level executives. Don't see many woman there do you ? Hmmm... That's strange.

totally true about there being nothing but women in the office now but I doubt there's some sort of conspiracy. I work in a fucking hen house. Men just cant keep up with the underhanding and confrontational ways of the female species. whether you like it or not, That catty shit gets stuff done to an extent. It pisses everyone in the office off but gets it done none the less

i work at a united healthcare corporate office as security in cypress california. i can tell you that my building is hugely populated by women (maybe a 1:20 male/female ratio, maybe not even that,) and it seems that if youre not an alpha male, youre subjugated as a lesser being, left out of the loop but expected to participate, and getting all the work. id hate to see how they treat the gay ones. my only real proof is a story i was told with a worker that im friendly with. seems to me this has some real substance to it. being security i dont have to take their shit either, not that theres much shit to be received in the first place (i dont talk to anyone, mostly because im jaded and theyre all fucking retards. dont want anything to do with them)

id say theres deff something to this idea.

Mostly just 'be attractive' its the best you'll do as a guy. be attractive and female superiors will be more likely to hire you for eye-candy.
After that 'be clever and ruthless' there is no problem with fucking some one else over for a 0.1$ raise... so do it at the drop of a hat.
and most important, dont let any one know that you well enough to do the above two things.

Maybe sack up and get a 'man-job'. I'm in complete agreement with OP though.
