The only way would be to turn on photostream on her phone and know her itunes password.... There is a thread about this in "Stolen Pictures" that is much more specific.

Iphones can have an app that looks like nothing but it's storage for stuff like a notepad or calculator app where you type in some numbers or words and it unlocks

well if you are on an android then you can use apps like IPWebcam by Pas to use the built in cam on any android at anytime whether its through a vpn or a home network. if its an android and the user has a app for hidden pictures they are easily retrievable because mostly the pictures have an extra file extension added to them like sample.jpg.txt and can be found relatively easy by mounting the device as an external hard drive and browsing the files and looking for the renamed files which doesn't require itunes or another program to browse the files. it isn't a perfect system but it is easier than trying to figure out a way to hack someones iphone

If her iPhone is jailbroken, download openSSL from Cydia and you could access her phone's files through WinSCP.

shit, just get onto her computer. there should be backups of her iphone stored there. the pics and videos have had their extensions changed, but you should know how to overcome that. just google for the location of the backup folder, depending on what OS you're on. i've done this with numerous friends who have me fix their computers. many wins.
